Corgi Assurance Scheme PDF Print E-mail

WRB Gas are a member of Corgi's Quality Assurance Scheme for registered gas installers.  The scheme assesses the quality and integrity of installers management systems and arrangements for the control of safe gas work.

Many Managing Agents, Housing Associations, specifiers, landlords, Local Authorities etc.  already value the assurances provided from the verification of management systems by an accredited Certification body.  It focuses on 'Best Value' - economy, efficiency and effectiveness, convenience, continuous improvement and zero defects.

This gives you confidence that the gas work you contract out to Certified installers will not result in problems for your tenants or your organisation and the safety of the gas work is assured.

Impartial 3rd Party assessment and Certification against the requirements of the Scheme provides confidence in the installers management systems for gas work.  It complements other quality schemes such as ISO9000, Charter Mark, European Foundation of Quality Management and Investors in People.

  • It is recognised by the Audit Commission and Housing Corporation
  • It safeguards against potential law suits or criminal charges
  • The provisions of this voluntary Certification Scheme for installers enhance the gas safety requirements of the Statutory registration scheme operated by CORGI and is UKAS accredited to European standard EN45011.
  • Certification to BS EN 45011 by an accredited certification body shows the business to be committed to quality, customers, and a willingness to work toward improving efficiency.
  • CORGI Certification's Quality Assurance Scheme for Registered Gas Installers is recognised both in the private and public sectors and is achievable by any size business with costs that are proportionate to the size of the business.
  • Improvement in the confidence of existing gas services customers, who see it as an investment in quality control and assurance.
  • Certification helps installers to enhance good practices and improve systems and bring more focus in relation to working practices and methods.
  • Certified installers operate systems for dealing with any complaints they may receive about the gas work they are responsible for.
  • Certificated installers have systems for the procurement/provision of appliance spare parts.
  • Certificated installers hold public liability insurance with a minimum cover of £2,000,000
