Gas Safety
WRB Gas is a progressive, Scottish company with a proven track record for gas safety, quality and
reliability. From our Dundee HQ, we employ around sixty highly-qualified service engineers and operators, who are backed up with a thirty-strong support team. Throughout all our client services, safety is our overriding priority.
CORGI Registered
Every gas services company in the UK must be registered with CORGI, the gas industry's safety watchdog, to ensure industry standards apply across the country and to maintain public safety in gas-related work.
WRB Gas is CORGI registered, fully implements industry standards of professionalism and customer care, and works hard to maintain an unblemished record of 24-years-plus with the Health and Safety Executive.
Home Safety
75% of Scotland has access to a gas supply and there are currently some 1.68 million domestic gas customers. In everyday usage, gas and electricity supplies, properly installed and properly maintained, are safe. However, to keep your gas installation safe, it is vital that any work you need is carried out by those qualified to do so.
Gas Emergencies
A gas escape is an emergency which could put life and property at risk. If you smell gas, think you have a gas leak, or are worried that fumes containing carbon monoxide are escaping from a gas appliance, you should call the Transco free 24-hour emergency line on 0800 111 999 immediately.
You should also:
- Turn off the gas supply
- Extinguish all sources of ignition
- Do not smoke
- Do not switch electric light or power switches on or off
- Open windows and doors to ventilate the property
- Make sure there is access to the property
